After working so hard to plan and organise our Summer Fair stall ideas, it was finally time to reveal the winners from each class! Last Friday, Mrs Fash came in to give us the final decision of the PTA. Apparently it had been a hard choice, but the PTA were extremely impressed with the amount of detail and thought that had gone into every letter, business plan and poster. We were very nervous and after a very long drum roll, the winners were announced! In Beech Class the stall ‘Fruit Feel’ was chosen and in Elm Class, it was ‘Spectacular Styling’. We are all now very excited to get these stalls ready and support these teams in running them at the Summer Fair. We are hoping to help the PTA raise lots of money to buy new equipment for our school. Huge congratulations to those children who put forward these ideas: George S, Sophie S, Imogen T, Catalina O, Katie M, Daisy B, Zara DM and Mariam B.
In other news, we have been having fantastic fun with food chains and food webs in Science and last week, were challenged by Mrs Brewer and Mrs Stubbings to create our own food webs, using lots of pictures of animals and pieces of string. It was harder than we expected, but we all worked collaboratively and there were some good discussions about which animals were the most common predators and prey.
