In true Summercroft Style it has been busy, busy, busy! In the final couple of weeks there has been no let up in our delivery of Christmas fuelled learning opportunities. Our Year 6 choir was on fine form at the Town Carol Service on the 7th December. Not only did they sing beautifully but they were the smartest looking pupils too. As ever, when representing our school the children behaved impeccably. This is something we continue to be most proud of. This was echoed by the Year 4 pupils taking part in the Music Festival at St Barnabas Centre this week. Thank you to all those who supported these events!
It was standing room only at All Saints Church on Friday 11th December where our children excelled in all things musical. Thank you all for the meticulous planning and organisation and to Miss Hanson, Mrs Monk and Mrs Rnjak for their invaluable support. My goodness me, I continue to be impressed by our young people’s confidence when speaking in front of such a large number of people. Any signs of nerves were kept under control! Most admirable. Thank you to Mrs Brewer for coaching and encouraging the children to such a high standard. There was a wonderful sense of community within the church making it a memorable event, thank you!
A special visitor made a guest appearance in yesterday’s Key Stage 1 assembly. Father Christmas heard about our fabulous pupils and decided they deserved a visit!
Our final assembly today is a chance to say fond farewell to Mrs Hughes. We hope that she enjoys her new ventures in life and we look forward to her visiting us in the near future.
Thank you for your continued support and good wishes and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday 5th January.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
