Year 4 have had a busy first week back, starting our Rugby World Cup 2015 topic by writing Kennings about rugby players and making ‘Visit England’ logos. We have discussed tourism, why it is important and have been researching attractions in the host cities so that we can create our own leaflets showing tourists what else is available. We are learning about persuasive language to ensure our leaflets entice tourists to visit many attractions and not just attend rugby matches.
In maths we have been looking at the different number systems used by the Mayans and Romans. Elm Class created their own number systems using natural materials found in the school grounds.
