As we reach the end of this half term, we are preparing for our part in the upcoming whole school carnival parade.
We had good fun making our bejewelled Indian headdresses to wear with our Holi festival t-shirts. Each child has also designed and made part of Holly and Oak class’s carnival banner, which we will ‘show off’ during the carnival.
In English, we have been reading creation stories and looking at their features. We will be creating our own creation stories about how the elephant got a part of his body, for example, his trunk or his giant ears.
Our bean seeds that we have been watching grow were not doing too well in the make-shift greenhouses, so we decided to plant them into pots. We will be sending them home this half term for the children to continue to watch them grow.
