Summercroft Primary School was inspected by Ofsted on the 7th and 8th December 2016 and we are pleased to be able to share the final version of the report. All aspects of the school’s work have been judged as at least ‘Good’. We are delighted that the Ofsted team recognised the improvements that have been implemented over the last two years and the many strengths of the school are detailed in the report. The Report mentions two areas that need further improvement which the inspection team agree were already identified by the Leadership Team and reflected in the current School Development Plan. We will continue to work hard on implementing these improvements to ensure our pupils receive the best start to their education.
We believe this outcome is due to the dedication of the staff who provide good quality, exciting learning opportunities every day, our strong partnerships and support from parents and carers, our pupils who are proud to be part of Summercroft Primary and keen to do well and governors who hold the school to account effectively. In addition, our work with Ann Keen, school improvement partner, has provided challenge and support in moving the school forward. Our huge thanks go to the whole school community who have made this possible by their various contributions. It is very much appreciated.
