Wine Tasting Evening Hosted by Waples Wines
Friday 27th September 7:30pm
We are very excited about our first event of the academic year; it is a new fundraiser for adults only. Embark on a taste journey with Waples Wines (http://www.wapleswines.co.uk/). You will be provided with a selection of wines to sample, be shown how to get the most from the different wines, be given a taste card to note your preferences and there’s even a spittoon if you want to do it properly!
To finish there will be a selection of cheeses to enjoy with the remainder of the wines you have sampled. Don’t forget to bring a pound coin to play our game of chance to win a fabulous prize.
Tickets cost £15.00 per person
Please note: Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Doors open at 7:30pm, in the KS1 Hall at Summercroft Primary School.
If you fall in love with a particular wine there will be chance to place an order directly with Waples Wines, who will generously donate 10% of the sale price to Summercroft PTA.
To secure you place please complete the slip below (printed copies are available at the office), include the correct amount of cash or a cheque for each ticket you wish to purchase and post it into the PTA Events box outside the school office by 3:15pm on Wednesday 25th Sept latest. Confirmation of receipt will be emailed to you and tickets will not be available to purchase after this date.
We look forward to seeing you and your friends and family there!
Can you help?
If you are available to help out for a morning (9-12), an afternoon (13:15-15:00), all day or even just a 1 or 2 hour timeslot please contact us via email firstname.lastname@example.org, the Summercroft PTA Facebook page or catch one of the class reps or PTA committee at school. A sign-up sheet will also be near the main gates after half term.
Children in Hazel Class (Yr 5) will be completing their Bikeability course on that Friday but we will work closely with the teachers to ensure they all have a chance to join in with this event.
We would like to thank you all for helping the children raise money for the school by supporting this fun event.
We are always happy to hear from our families at the school – if you have any comments, queries, ideas or feedback please do get in contact with us. You can find one of us at the school, contact us via the office, the PTA Facebook Page or via email email@example.com.
Thank you all so much for your continued support, we are really able to make a difference when we all work together.
- Fixing the covered walkway and bike/scooter park
- Repairing books, both in the school’s library and for guided reading
- Planting shrubs in the school grounds (continuing the good work by the Summercroft Time gardening club)
- 2nd Hand Uniform sort and sale
- Repairing the games boards and equipment for the Summer and Christmas Fairs
Further details will be sent out about these projects, including how you can get involved if you are able to spare some time.
The PTA is looking for:
* Parents/carers/family members/friends, whose place of work provides a matched funding scheme. Matched fundings can double the amount raised for the school and are tax reliefs for the company.
These are the proposed dates for events this academic year. Dates are subject to change and more details will be sent to parents closer to each event date.
