Over the past two weeks we have been looking at Traditional Fairy Tales. We started off by reading the story of The 3 Little Pigs and making changes to the original story. For example, it wasn’t a big bad wolf who blew the house down, it was a scary Lion, a tall giraffe and an excitable Monkey. After that the children were then able to present the story of The 3 Little Pigs onto the computer. They used a variety of computing skills to draw and type a part of the story. From this story we then moved onto Little Red Riding Hood where they thought of an alternative ending. The children enjoyed becoming authors when writing up their stories. In many stories the wolf came to an unfortunate end! In DT, the traditional tale theme continued. First they began by stitching the puppet template together using a blanket stitch. Next they designed and created their puppet based on a fairy tale character.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 25th May at 2.30pm for our enterprise stalls.
