It’s always good to try something new and this week all of Year 2 joined together to learn all about materials. Holly and Oak classes discussed what they thought the most common material used for maths resources would be and then collected evidence to see if they were right. The photos show the children in both classes investigating the materials. After their investigations they thought about why plastics were more common than any other materials.
In maths the children have been using equipment to help them partition and add two digit numbers. As the term progresses we will start looking at subtraction too. We’ve also seen some fantastic writing. Children wrote instructions for how to brush their teeth last week and this week we are practising descriptive writing.
